Esolons

Frequently called evolution wizards, esolons are powerful elven wizards that are responsible for some of the world's greatest monstrosities. At their heart, esolons believe that by altering the magicks and genetics of creatures (and elves), they can achieve perfection. It was the esolons that created the Tauren races to serve the elves, and because of the slave revolt (amongst other failures), the esolons have fallen out of favor with the people of the Alyres. Even though there are many strict laws in place concerning the alteration of genetics in the Alyres, the Teyrauror secretly supports esolonian experiments, and so the esolons have a secret base on the continent of Lujasila where the darkest of their experiments are carried out.
