Shortly before the founding of Center, when the idea of peace between races was beginning to make some headway, many gnomes realized that much of the research they had been doing in their peaceful forest and mountain homes had already been done by other gnomes they were cut off from. The GGA was formed in an effort to spread gnomish knowledge throughout all gnomish villages in the interest of forward progress. Heavily drawn upon as a source for the Compact of Center, particularly in the areas of cultural and scientific sharing, the GGA nevertheless remains in operation working tirelessly to compose and distribute the sum of all gnomish knowledge.
